A Rolleiflex, some tri-x and a nice cool day in downtown Los Angeles.
I was given this camera by a friend who just didn’t have a use for it anymore and knew I would put it to good use. My first medium format camera and about as good of an introduction to the format that could be possible. The planar lens is clean and clear and sharp. The viewfinder is bright and easy to focus. Just a dream camera for me. It is also quite a conversation starter. People asking if it is a film camera, or where do you even buy film anymore and even the occasional person that stops just to tell me how much I am missing out on by not shooting digital.
Looking at these photos I can’t see anything that is missing.
