About

2013-08-31 10.28.10I spend much of my day flirting with the possibility of new projects. Herding my Muses, attempting to turn their inspiration into action. This blog is my place to write about and examine some of the creative aspects of my life.

My curiosity has led me to try my hand at many creative endeavors. Early on I learned the basics of woodworking from my father. I’ve designed and built many pieces of furniture. I have remodeled homes, doing everything from framing and drywall to finish carpentry. I built a 44′ sailboat in my driveway (yes, I’m that guy). I write, I paint and I attended Le Cordon Bleu in Los Angeles to improve my French cooking.

When I was 10 years old I was given my first camera. My Mother worked in a photo lab and I burned through rolls and rolls of film, snapping pictures of anything that interested me. Over the years I have worked in and around photography, both still and motion, in a number of capacities, from lab assistant to film colorist and editor. Throughout it all, photography has been my passion and I am still snapping away.

I hope I never lose the desire to learn and to create.
