I had a few hours to kill.
Becki was working on a budget and schedule for her next film and I had finished a respectable amount of work already, so I decided to head in to Hollywood to get some developing supplies from Freestyle Photo.
Our weather has been more spring than winter, so I put the top down on the car and took off. For many years I worked in and around Hollywood, at the Sunset Gower Studios and various post production companies in town. It was nice to get back in the area with time on my hands and no schedule to keep.
After spending some money at Freestyle, always more than I originally planned to, I wanted something to eat. With no one else to satisfy I decided to visit an institution, Pink’s on La Brea. Nothing organic, green or remotely healthy about this place, but I haven’t looked forward to visiting a restaurant more in some time. I had spent many afternoons here on a lunch break and it was one of the go to places after listening to music in some club on Sunset.
The hot dog was how I remembered and I walked around a bit, making a few photos. Here are a few from the roll. I used my Leica MP and 50mm Summicron, tri-x @ 400 and developed the roll in HC-110 1+49.
