Leaving Morro Bay.
Our trip along the central coast has come to an end and we are safely back home in Hermosa Beach. After a few days at home and the return to everyday life of work and traffic and appointments and meetings, etc. etc. etc., I can reflect on our trip with a little more clarity.
The central coast of California is gorgeous country. Green hills, dotted with live oaks and cattle, rolling their way down to the the rugged coast of the Pacific Ocean. The sights, sounds and smells of the coast are so much more vivid there than down south. The coast is still wild, not tamed and groomed like it is in Los Angeles. The small towns are friendly and inviting. Smiling, open people that enjoy your company when you stop to say hello. There is nothing bad to say about the area.
As far as retiring up here, I don’t know. It will be a long thought about decision, not something we rush in to. I can say that there are places up here that we would be lucky to settle down in. If we ever settle down that is.
These photos were made with my Leica MP and 50mm Summicron lens, Tri-X at 400 and then developed in HC-110 1+49. I threw in a couple photos of my kids, Bella and Gus to finish out the roll. Enjoy.
