Since leaving Vancouver a few weeks ago, Bella and I have settled back into normal life. I can sleep in my own bed and Bella has her backyard to play and lounge in. Becki is back, if only for a short while, so things are good.
Being in Canada for many months, while nice, was not a vacation. Becki was working hard and constantly occupied so we didn’t get to spend much time together. Once she got home, Becki took her customary week to decompress, sleeping in, walking on the beach and enjoying being temporarily unemployed.
That can only go on for so long, though. It was time to go somewhere. For fun.
We had both been thinking of New York lately. It’s been a couple of years since our last visit and we both wanted to go back, even for just a quick weekend trip.
Let’s face it, pizza at John’s on Bleeker is worth the trip on its own!
