Wasting Film – Rolleiflex Ramblings

Another walk, another roll.

I dusted off my Rolleiflex 3.5f and slapped in a roll of Ilford Delta 3200. A medium yellow filter went in front of the lens and I was ready to go.

The first part of our walk was close to home because we included my 12-year-old Boxer dog, Bella. She’s always willing and excited to get out, but her stamina is not what it used to be.

The first two are around Counterbalance park at the base of Queen Anne Avenue.

After taking Bella back home for a rest I continued my walk. I made a circuit that took me past the Olympic Sculpture Garden, downtown to Pike Place Market, up past Westlake Park and the Pacific Place shopping mall, and then back along Fifth Ave. towards uptown and home.

I ran out of film well before getting home so this roll of snapshots ends in downtown Seattle.

The film was developed in Rodinal (1+25).

  • This post has been in my draft folder for weeks, forgotten about. Something sparkly caught my attention and this Rolleiflex roll was almost lost. I’m happy that I noticed it, reminding me to make prints of 10 of the 12 photos.
