It’s time for Volume 3 of My Pictures of Home. This is the third in my ongoing series of zines containing images taken around my home in Southern California.
I’m getting away from the beach this time and concentrating on images taken around the city center of Los Angeles. These were all taken as I walked around while sightseeing or meeting friends for lunch or dinner. I rarely have any business downtown, so my reasons for traveling in usually center around friends and food.
This zine has been finished for some time now, but I’ve been too busy to write any sort of blog post about it. Work (the income generating kind), travel, volume #4, house hunting, etc., etc. have delayed this post by more than a month.
I have already sent off copies to family back east that enjoy seeing some of my photos from crazy California. I doubt that this zine is going to make any of them want to visit my scary city, but they do seem to be genuinely interested.
My favorite byproduct of printing my photos in this way is the accessibility. Everyone understands a magazine. To have a small collection of images in an easily digestible format is one of the goals of this project.
If you are interested in picking up a copy of this volume, I am selling directly through Blurb. The price is $11.59 (Blurb’s printing cost), plus taxes and shipping.
My Pictures of Home Vol. 3, weighs in at 48 pages containing 33 images.
Awesome! Looking forward to getting one of this and completing the set.
