Griffith Observatory

Lately, I have been trying to do a few of the more touristy things around Los Angeles and visiting the Griffith Observatory was high on the list. The observatory is about 23 miles from my home, on the other side of the city, so a quick visit is not possible. It would take at least an hour just to get there. Fortunately, one of our favorite breakfast restaurants is on the way.

Fed and full of coffee, my Hasselblad Xpan loaded with one of my last two rolls of Kodak Plus-X, we hiked up the hill to some of the best views of the city of Los Angeles. The sky was a bit hazy, but the sights were still impressive.

Here are a few photos from that roll of Plus-X. I developed the film in HC 110 and the negatives are fantastic. A screen jpg does not do them justice.

I have printed most of these on 24″ Hahnemühle Baryta paper and they look wonderful.
